A Few Wild Visitors!

Over the few months we've had a few visitors, or found a few curiosities! Some, like the foxes, we haven't managed to get photos of as they're just so quick! Some we have got fantastic photos of, such as the Woodpeckers in the Spring Babies blog post. But this post is just to showcase a few of the animals and oddities that we've caught a quick photo of on our phones!
This beautiful Hedgehog isn't complimented in this photo at all, but we felt so privileged to see it, we had to at least try a photo!
Although maybe not everyone's cup of tea, Slime Moulds are fascinating in that they can actually move from where they are, to where new food is! Difficult to spot usually, when they "fruit", they can look spectacular! Here's a bright yellow one we found in the woods at Blakemere:
This Grass Snake had got it'self caught up in a net in Sandiway, so we popped round to give them a hand freeing it, then let it go safely! What a fantastic animal!
This young toad almost hopped in to the shop!
And finally, a beautiful Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly resting on some Ragwort:
